- des phrases à compléter, sur la grammaire et le vocabulaire du travail (partie 5) ;
- deux textes à trous, un e-mail et un article, où il faut choisir un mot ou insérer la bonne phrase (partie 6) ;
| Niveau CECRL | Score total minimum | Dont lecture |
|---|---|---|
| A2 | 225 | 115 |
| B1 | 550 | 275 |
| B2 | 785 | 385 |
| C1 | 945 | 455 |
- sous B1, revoyez les temps, les prépositions (by, until, since) et le vocabulaire du bureau : commande, livraison, facture, réunion ;
- entre B1 et B2, travaillez les formes des mots (efficient, efficiently, efficiency), car la partie 5 en est remplie, et lisez des e-mails professionnels en anglais ;
50 questions, environ 30 minutes.
1. Please send the signed contract ___ Friday at the latest.
2. All employees must wear ___ badges at all times in the building.
3. The meeting room on the third floor is ___ than the one downstairs.
Comparatif d'un adjectif court : large devient larger, suivi de « than ».
4. The new printer is easy to use, ___ it is quite expensive.
5. Ms. Lopez ___ in the marketing department since 2019.
Avec « since » et une action qui dure encore, l'anglais emploie le present perfect : has worked.
6. We look forward to ___ from you soon.
Dans « look forward to », « to » est une préposition : le verbe qui suit prend -ing.
7. The shipment ___ yesterday afternoon, two days later than expected.
8. If the train is late, the client ___ the presentation.
Condition réelle au présent (If + présent) : la conséquence se met au futur, will miss.
9. Mr. Chen asked his assistant to ___ a table for six at the restaurant.
10. Applications must be ___ before the end of the month.
Les candidatures sont envoyées par quelqu'un : passif, must be + participe passé, submitted.
11. The company's profits increased ___ 12% last year.
12. The sales team exceeded its targets, ___ the difficult economic climate.
13. Customers who are not ___ satisfied with their purchase may return it within 30 days.
14. Ms. Patel is responsible for ___ the annual budget.

15. The conference has been postponed ___ further notice.
Expression figée : until further notice, « jusqu'à nouvel ordre ».
16. Neither the manager ___ her assistant was available to answer the call.
17. The new software will allow staff to process orders more ___.
18. The report ___ by the finance department is due next week.
19. The new regulations, ___ come into force in January, will affect all importers.
20. Had we known about the strike, we ___ an alternative route.
« Had we known » est une condition passée irréelle (if we had known) : la conséquence se met au conditionnel passé, would have planned.
21. Only after the audit was completed ___ the extent of the losses.
Une phrase qui commence par « Only after… » entraîne l'inversion sujet-auxiliaire, comme une question : did the board realize.
22. The two firms agreed to ___ their differences through mediation rather than in court.
23. Ms. Reyes's proposal was rejected, ___ it was the most cost-effective option presented.
24. The contract may be terminated by either party, ___ that written notice is given 60 days in advance.
25. ___ the board approve the budget, construction will begin in March.
« Should + sujet + verbe » remplace « If the board approves » dans un registre soutenu.
